Sun, Mars and The Super-Galactic Center in a Grand Air Trine (22-25 May 2018)

Typhoon_amber_concentric_eyewalls

Sun at 1 Gemini trines Mars at 2 Aquarius and The Super-Galactic Center at 1 Libra. (22-25 May 2018)

This Grand Air trine – which will be even more potent tomorrow gets us to look at the narratives through which we have constructed our identities, our relationships, our ideologies- and the concepts which make up our navigational compass in life.

This is a good time to revisit the stories which your lives are woven into, and those which you have (for better or worse) super-imposed onto your experiences.

Relationships and the way in which we understand the agency of the Masculine will be especially under scrutiny at this time.

Whilst this can be a very liberating energy to work with, it can be profoundly uncomfortable for some as it overturns truths and frameworks so deeply cherished.

Those who are especially vulnerable to panic and anxiety attacks, mental loops, getting stuck in one´s head, etc. are advised to practice extra self-care. Distract yourselves in a healthy way should the processing of this mental energy be more than you can handle.

Or go to a qualified professional or support group who can help. Be mindful of not taking on another´s intellectual baggage in lieu of your own.

Blessings,

Postscript – I shared some of my recent health concerns on Facebook, as it´s been a tough burden to bear. An interesting comment appeared in the comments. This was my response and it ties in well with the Mars-in-Aquarius energy. My thanks to the soul who facilitated the response.

It is unwise to project upon those whose task it is to challenge certain things in the world – irrespective of the goodness of our intentions.

Some of us do things of this nature not because we are victims or defensive. It is simply part and parcel of the contracts that we chose to undertake for a much larger purpose.

And it´s a challenging role to play. But the key issue is to remember that it is a valid role, or modality to engage the Universe with.

Unfortunately, new age dogma preaches that if you are hurt or wounded that you have somehow invited it, or your inner victim feels the need to get beaten about till it realizes it no longer needs to be a victim.

Many warriors do not speak up about their scars or their battles to avoid this kind of projection. And that adds to the perception that they are angry, defensive, overly protective, and so on.

Basically it´s a bad cycle of mutually-reinforced misperceptions.

People will simply not know the reason why challenger/warrior types have chosen to take the hits that they have. Because truly: the nature of the Universe and one´s role in it goes so much farther beyond the victim/abuser dichotomy.

Now of course there are those who don the mantle of the Challenger but are really acting out a wounded psychodrama. That is entirely possible.

But it takes a hell of a lot of study, understanding and knowledge of that person and the karmic contracts they have chosen to participate in (with whom, and why), before a person can make a true assessment.

Well-intentioned individuals offering perspective on a situation or person can do so much of damage by trying to fit others in that binary ´victim-abuser´ formulation.

In short, there are many reasons we do what we do. Tarring all of it with the same brush doesn´t really do it justice.

Uranus in Taurus: Joy as an act of Revolution!!! (2018-2026)

Blessings to All,

Uranus has just shifted in Taurus. It will remain there till November 2018, whereupon it will retrograde back into Aries till March 2019. Following that, we´re essentially seeing this energy up until 2026.

Uranus is the energy of revolution, innovation and breakthrough (or breakdown). It shakes up the status quo and brings change to the world – both positive and negative (however you define those terms).

Uranus-in-Taurus will see changes focused upon the way we find security, control and identity through our relationship with material possessions and the natural world.

Some will use this alignment to deepen their connection with the bodies and the wisdom they hold, alongside the deeper consciousness of the Earth and Her Cycles.

Others will use this energy to disrupt or challenge the status quo and the structures of power that hold them in place.

How you experience this alignment has to do with the way you perceive it and what you have done to receive the energy in a smooth way.

What to Do

Take the time to sit with yourself and know what it is you truly want. This is not an intellectual exercise or a philosophical one. It is a consciousness that radiates out of the core of your cellular being.

Trust your body´s wisdom.
Trust its connection with the Earth and Sky.
And things will be clearer.

Even if the answers are not yet clear, give yourself permission to receive them when you are ready.

Believe in your capacity to manifest abundance and to find a new way to approach your challenges and utilize your gifts.

Stay away from control dramas and be willing to center yourself in joy, sweetness, grace and a deeper connection with this Earth – and the Body it has graced you with.

Eat consciously, play happily and honor all who cross your path.

Be generous when you can and be honest with who you are and what you truly desire.

Resist the temptation to over-intellectualize things.

Allow yourself to partake in the sweetness of life

It doesn´t always have to be about conflict, strife and struggle.

Sometimes the best healing comes when you allow yourself to experience something completely different.

Oils: myrrh, benzoin, vetiver (check dosage, contraindications, etc.)
Gemstones: unakite, okenite, yellow jasper

Blessings,

Astro-Heads up! (13-15 May 2018)

4 rlqgw

Mercury is conjunct Uranus at 29 Aries.

Uranus is about to shift into Taurus in 2 days’ time, leaving Aries (temporarily)

The Aries Moon just moved past Eris at 23 degrees.

We´re due to see Mars shift into Aquarius and the New Moon in Taurus as well …

Be mindful of the way you use words and what you use them for.

There are contexts where a softer tone is better and ones where a more direct one is required.

Follow your pursuit of truth, but understand that you do not have the right to stop others on their path.

Whatever you are presented with that makes you uncomfortable has a lesson for you.

Sometimes it is to say that it is time to walk away and sometimes it is to say that it’s time to take a good, hard look at the mirror.

Health concerns surrounding any part of you above the neck and/or the solar plexus need to be monitored a little more closely at this time.

If feeling psychologically fragile or volatile, duck out of the way and focus on you – there’s a lot of debris flying about.
There´s always more to do, but this is a good start.

A NEW DAWN FOR MALAYSIA: PROGRESSED ASTROLOGICAL CHART ANALYSIS (1957-2018)

Flag_of_Malaysia_(3-2).svg

Over the past two decades or so, I found myself getting more and more disenchanted with Malaysian politics. Primarily on account of its lack of transparency, civil space, free political dialogue and racial disparities. I left the country in the same year that its longest-serving Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohammad resigned from the political arena. He was Malaysia´s strongman politician – and whilst I can´t agree with every policy he enacted – I had a belief in his capability to build a nation. Even as a kid.

My political identification with and emotive affect for Malaysia´s political future has been galvanized yet again – after a 18-year hiatus – following the resounding electoral victory of Pakatan Harapan (´Coalition of Hope´). This is the first time in the nation´s history that the ruling party (Barisan Nasional – National Front) has been defeated in the electoral arena. It is the first time that the Opposition has truly had access to the reins of power at the national level.

It´s not something that happened overnight – but a movement of millions that took time to mature and develop. It wasn´t led by a single man or woman, but by leaders from different ethnic backgrounds who wanted a vision of Malaysia that was more fair, equitable, and just. The ruling coalition has seen its levels of support decrease due to a multitude of factors – Malaysia´s recent economic performance, corruption scandals involving key figures in government, an increasingly polarized political rhetoric, and so on.

But what´s really capturing the mood of the moment is the man of the house: Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. He has just been sworn in as the oldest serving head of state at the age of 92. He emerged out of his political retirement 2 years ago and became the leader of Pakatan Harapan.

For some Malaysians – like me – who grew up under his first bout as Prime Minister, it´s actually a welcome return. There´s a deep faith in Dr. Mahatir´s political acumen and a respect for his political genius. One hopes that the imbalances that were made back then will now be corrected, especially as Pakatan´s Hopes and Strengths emerge from a wider ethnic demographic.

I looked at the chart for Malaya´s Independence Day (31 August 1957, 12:01 am, Kuala Lumpur) to see what points of continuity it has to the present day. I´m taking this date (rather than the 1963 one which saw Malaysia achieve its current-day political form) because it rings truer. People still celebrate the 31st August date and the site it took place on – Dataran Merdeka (The Field of Independence) – remains politically significant in rituals, ceremonies and events that seek to evoke a sense of national identity.

It seems fitting to take this date for a variety of reasons.

Some Malaysians compare this electoral victory to the 1957 one: as a second date of independence. The implicit correlation is that 1957 saw liberation from long-standing colonial (British) rule and 2018 sees a similar sense of liberation from a party that has held power for 6 decades.

And truly … seasoned political pundits did not see this coming.

The people decided they wanted something different.

In this election, Pakatan Harapan secured 104 seats, whereas Barisan Nasional secured 79 seats out of 222 in Malaysia´s parliament. In contrast the 2013 general election saw Barisan (former ruling party) take 133 seats vis-a-vis Pakatan´s 89 seats. (It was called Pakatan Rakyat – People´s Coalition at that point)

This is a complete reversal within a 5-year period! And so you see why there´s this sense of jubilation.

I will be focusing on an analysis of the secondary progressed astrological chart – derived from the original date of independence (31 August 1957). The chart is progressed to 10 May 2018.

Progressions are used to study long term shifts that take decades, if not centuries (or more) to happen. They have deeper spiritual implications that are often missed when looking at natal and transiting charts.

These are the house placements for the secondary progressed chart – they reflect 61 years of development and evolution of consciousness.

1st house – 27 Cancer — 7th house – 27 Capricorn
2nd house – 26 Leo — 8th house – 26 Aquarius
3rd house – 28 Virgo — 9th house – 28 Pisces
4th house – 0 Scorpio — 10th house – 0 Taurus
5th house – 0 Sagittarius — 11th house – 0 Gemini
6th house – 29 Sagittarius — 12th house – 29 Gemini

In contrast – you can see that the original chart (31 August 1957) looked completely different:

1st house – 1 Gemini — 7th house – 1 Sagittarius
2nd house – 29 Gemini — 8th house – 29 Sagittarius
3rd house – 26 Cancer — 9th house – 26 Capricorn
4th house – 26 Leo — 10th house – 26 Aquarius
5th house – 28 Virgo — 11th house – 28 Pisces
6th house – 1 Scorpio — 12th house – 1 Taurus

Each house has / is at the brink of moving through two astrological signs over a period of 61 years – therefore 30 years ago, we would have also seen a similar watershed moment in the nation´s political history. And that´s exactly what happened : In 1988, Malaysia saw a constitutional crisis in which Dr. Mahathir was accused of limiting the powers of the judiciary in favour of the executive and legislature.

Which is entirely unsurprising as the progressed 7th house (legal matters) shifted into Capricorn (authority, power and control) …. The progressed 7th house will shift in early 2021 into the sign of Aquarius.

One can safely predict that Malaysia´s legal and governmental frameworks are in for a major revision or overhaul in the next 3 years. Perfect for dismantling older institutional arrangements that concentrate power in one set of hands and removing it from others.

Coming back to the present , the progressed chart analysis of 10 May 2018 indicates key changes that started in 2017 and will take a further year to complete.

Four astrological houses (4, 5, 10 and 11) shifted signs within the past year and two houses will shift signs in the rest of this year (6 and 12). Further shifts will continue, resulting in a complete transformation of all twelve houses by January 2022. The process of change began to gain momentum in 2016.

Within the past year (May 2017 – May 2018), the 4th house has shifted from Libra into Scorpio. This indicates the start of a new journey in defining a sense of belonging, groundedness, rootedness and affect. The nation as a whole is seeking to pierce through its illusions and discover – for the first time – what its ´home´and ´land´ is truly made up of.

We may also be seeing a greater focus upon agricultural work (under Dr. Mahathir´s leadership), the furthering of real estate and greater scope for traditional or natural remedies and forms of alternative health. Psychically, we see the need to continue to introspect on the character of the nation and heal that which is not in balance. This will not happen through positive thought alone, but through a real engagement with the issues at stake.

What is also significant is that Malaysia´s progressed Neptune, Sun, North Node and Mercury are all between 2 – 10 Scorpio. Those in the medical / healing / psychological / occult professions may feel a call to ´return home´ and work more deeply within the home context. Sensitive people will need to amp up their psychic protection.

House 10´s shift from Aries to Taurus indicates a powerful change in the way the nation sees its destiny. We will see a greater focus on: keeping things real, embodied and connected to the basic 5 senses, the way we understand agricultural cycles, the biosphere, our place in the physical environment and the need to sustain all of this so that everyone can lead a more comfortable material life. Malaysia will also become a valuable place to invest in after Uranus completes it´s shift into Taurus. Keep your eye on the ball

Malaysia´s progressed Pallas Athena and South Node are here at 0 Taurus and 10 Taurus respectively. There will be scope for furthering the representation of women, especially if they focus their mental energies on securing a greater sense of tangible abundance for all.

What is interesting now is that the progressed Nodes (10 Scorpio-Taurus, ´True´calculation) square the nodes currently in the sky – at 9-10 Leo-Aquarius. This is clearly a defining moment for the nation as a whole as the direction of its growth has been re-defined.

Especially with transiting Uranus on its Taurus Midheaven! WOW!

But it´s a starting point – others will have to keep the momentum going.

And to make sure that the ship stays true to its course.

The progressed shift in house 5 from Scorpio to Sagittarius beckons a new era of enthusiasm for philosophy, politics, travel and a sense of expansion and growth – for the nation as a whole and especially its thinkers, leaders and young people.

House 11´s shift from Taurus to Gemini focus upon the increased role of technology in creating a space for civil and public discourse. The use of social media galvanized millions during this election and it continues to be the space to get the pulse of the nation (especially on platforms such as Whatsapp and Twitter).

The shifts that will happen within the course of the next year will see houses 6 and 12 shift from Sagittarius to Capricorn, and from Gemini to Cancer respectively. This will open up a new pathway of service through government, a greater need of focus on the nation´s ´spine´ and building blocks as it were. Investments in construction, traditional financial and political institutions are likely to see dividends.

The 12th house shift sees a return to older spiritual echoes of the land that pre-date recorded history and the establishment of modern political identities. Spiritualists and sensitive people are advised to also consult a history of South-east Asia for greater context.

These progressed shifts are generally ones that last for 3 decades (especially when a chart´s houses are evenly spaced). So these are monumental changes at play. And this is truly a very small slice of the chart / astrological perspective on the situation. You can also look up the charts of the key political figures to understand how, where and why they play the roles that they do.

Long story short, this is a time of national redefinition, a transformative moment long awaited. And as per astrology – it took us 6 decades to get there!

And in the same breath – it is vitally important to remember that this change needs work to be sustained – and in a way that makes the best of the alignments present.

One did not really need astrology to tell that, but it´s great when the mathematics of the sky so accurately tally with the collective consciousness of millions.

MALAYSIA BOLEH! (YES, MALAYSIA CAN!)

Peeling Back the Layers of Privilege, Fragility and Entitlement – as part of Shadow-Work and Spiritual Development

onion-2699531_1920

A friend forwarded me a conversation on race today with eerily similar dynamics to a conversation I was part of the day before. Essentially, a white woman takes up conversational space in a discussion on POC perspective and makes it about herself. And then makes the claim that she knows herself and her intentions and is therefore justified and ´content´in her opinions and actions. And runs away from the conversation with the words ‘ love and light’ – or something similar. Or claims she is a victim of the POC and demands that her pain be heard, acknowledged and/or validated instead.

In this article, I would like to establish how being unwilling to face (especially if a white person) concepts such as ´white fragility´and ´white privilege´actually impedes your spiritual growth – and why these concepts express a core layer of perspective in the shadow of the Self.

Before we begin, I want to stress that this is not a piece about whites vs. POC. If division was the name of the game, these conversations would be unnecessary. Whilst we´re all trying to find unity, we need to do so in a way that honors diversity – rather than trying to erase it as it invalidates the perspective of the historically dominant.

Most of you who follow my work are Caucasian. And most of you are sensible, sensitive beings who realize that the world isn´t about them. And who have the good sense not to try and make everyone else´s lives about them. And I hope you will also find this article of use and interest.

(Grab a cuppa, because you´re going to want to chew on this for a bit)

Let us start with two assumptions:

(1) Unless you do your shadow work to understand the ego and its many layers … it is rather hollow to claim knowledge of the self and justify actions on the basis of that knowledge. This is something that most on the path will agree with.

(2) Similarly, unless one spends time on unpacking and sitting with uncomfortable concepts such as ‘ white fragility ‘ and ‘ white privilege ‘… it is rather hollow to claim knowledge on and justify one’s actions – especially when discussing sensitive questions as a white person in mixed racial groups.

If point 1 made sense to you, I don’t see why point 2 doesn’t.

What we will get to through this article is how points 1 and 2 are intimately interwoven.

There is a great deal of defensiveness that comes up when POC point this out to white people who try to define their narratives for them. Some of them become angry, defensive, dismissive – and others do try to break it down in a more inclusive way. Irrespective of what they do, POC tend to get projected on by the white person in the discussion.

I find it especially sad when POC who choose to explain what is going on (even in ways that are not intended to be dismissive) get shamed for ‘putting the white woman down’ or ‘calling her out’.

In yesterday’s exchange, two POC academics were accused of being condescending as their decades of research and lived experience in the matter did not support the white woman’s opinion.

She derailed the argument (or tried to), making it entirely about herself and how she felt judged and hurt. And laid the blame on the POC who spoke to her kindly.

That’s just bananas.

And yet, across the world, bushels and bushels of them keep heaping up.

This practice is sadly pervasive. Wrapped up in the rhetoric of self-assertion and spiritual knowledge and often to the detriment of those historically disempowered from doing so.

That being said …

Whilst I wouldn’t say that it’s right to demean a white person wanting to enter a conversation on race (just cause they´re white), the reverse appears to be a right that is frequently assumed. (and the bananas keep piling up)

Here´s some of the implicit assumptions in some of these statements and behaviors:

“My opinion is more important than your research and lived reality.”

“I know I’m coming from a good place, so my words are okay.”

(Which really does not work unless you’ve really sat with the whole question of fragility and privilege. Otherwise one remains oblivious to it and wonders why POC seem so ‘angry’ and ‘triggered’ .)

“I´m content with my opinion and I don´t need to engage with what you´re saying even though this topic has really nothing to do with me “

“My pain is more important than yours, so take a back seat”

This might be an unpopular parallel to make, but these rhetorical practices are highly reminiscent of the patronizing tone that missionaries took when bringing their faith to different lands. They used the same rhetorical strategies that divided, conquered and enslaved generations.

POC were rendered as ‘savages’ through the use of evangelical rhetoric. As people who obviously lacked the intellect to speak for themselves and whose emotional attachment to ‘primitive’ belief systems weighed down their spirits – they needed to be saved.

These justifications were used to morally and politically justify the colonial enterprise and the stripping of tribes from their culture, heritage and land. And wiping out their identities, generations of connection, memory, faith and tradition.

By a far ‘superior’ race whose clarity of thought, faith and righteous intention surpassed that of the beleaguered native.

If you thought that was bad..
What’s worse is that it’s still happening.
In the name of being ‘spiritual’, ´woke´ and ´compassionate´.

For instance …

One comment I read today from this lady who ‘knew her intentions’ felt sorry for the hurt black people felt at her words because they were still ‘carrying it’.

´It´ being centuries of hurt, shame and abuse carried through the generational line.

Which this speaker herself tapped into, using the same strategies her forefathers did.

POC feelings of outrage were their problem because they, unlike her, still had them.

Of course she didn’t…as her shadow in this context lay steeped in privilege, rather than racial abuse.

And yes – we all carry the traits of victim and abuser in us. And yes – that is why we need to look at context so carefully in our self-work, and work with others.

She issued a blanket apology for triggering people inadvertently but it was clear she blamed the ‘victims’ (of her own noble intent?)

Clearly this person had some understanding of the terms used to find deeper self-awareness but stopped short at that critical racial threshold.

And why might that be?

Because she felt she had the right to define that threshold for others.
And that is the hallmark of privilege.

So too is the act of trying to equate experiences, condense, simplify or make everyone’s trauma ‘the same’. It really isn’t.

One may not be able to compare the weight of each trauma on a set of gargantuan scales, but their differences need to honoured… for what they are.

POC perspectives have been erased for long enough.

It´s one thing for them to make that invitation, and it is another to have it foisted upon them in the rhetoric of spirituality and universal love (again).

But if one is not willing to acknowledge the necessity of this work … or the impact of such rhetorical devices …

Then don’t be surprised if POC seem resentful or defensive …

Essentially, (as before) spiritual knowledge is being used as a claim to control others’ speech, tone down their identities and make them dance to the tune of one’s making.

In much the same way that a POC is tasked with overcoming generational trauma whereas a white person need not unpack the flipside of it: generational privilege.

And that is really not going to change unless one’s shadow work includes a healthy dose of introspection with respects to privilege, fragility, entitlement and historical patterns.

These patterns are carried through ancestral line, they are part of the psychic foundation that leads to a sense of self and being.

In other words it is the bedrock upon which the ‘I’ is founded.

Privilege, entitlement and fragility are parts of the ego that need to be unpacked. They are inherited (and taught) layers of identity that mask the soul.

So too are identities forged through the narrative of victimhood.

But what tends to happen is when said white woman is confronted with the need to address her privilege, she then claims to be the victim of the POC.

Especially if they refuse to perform emotional labour by nurturing the bruised ego of the white person.

Pray tell, how is that just?

It hearkens back to the assumption that the black nanny is there to serve.

And that she serves on demand.

Unpacking privilege is something that takes time and sincere effort. And it is not going to be easy if one is content with the idea that their opinions matter more than another person´s lived reality.

Also- one does not automatically become an expert on these by having ‘black friends’ or hanging out with POC. Those relationships may be based on the same hidden dynamics that are in need of deconstruction.

It may be comfortable to assume that your spiritual path can avoid this work.

Or that your knowledge of self automatically carries over to the privilege you may be unconsciously reliant on.

But since when has shadow-working, knowing the hidden self been particularly comfortable ?

Like it or not, it’s part of the syllabus. It’s going to crop up sometime … Be it this life or the next

So why wait?

Tussling about with the Aquarian Moon, Lioness Ceres and the Dragon (6-9 May 2018)

5DA7B851-B631-47BF-9BED-D6BEC94BA76B - copia
The Moon is now in Aquarius, heading towards the South Node (9-10 degrees) and opposition with Ceres (12 Leo) and the North Node (9-10 Leo).
Over the next 2.5 days, focus on your emotions surrounding your ideals, connection with community and give room for your own visionary insight to emerge. Make it about you in a way that celebrates the self and its value as part of the collective.
I´ve padded the dates given slightly to reflect differing timezones. If you are in the US, this is between the 6th -8th , if in Asia 7th -9th  May.
Whilst there is merit in honoring accumulated wisdom, know that we live in a time where much needs to be overturned and questioned. Allow yourselves to release ideas that no longer align and mental baggage that asks you to forsake pursuing your own creative, joyful, playful sense of self-expression.
This is not a magic wand, per se – but an act that initiates further changes. You are providing the possibility for transformation to occur and in so doing, you make it that much more likely to manifest.
But give yourself the permission needed to question the script first of all. Including outdated thoughts and ideas surrounding the concept of attraction-manifestation itself. Energy is moving so rapidly now that it´s hard to keep up in words, ideas and concepts.
No one has all the answers, but the best you can do is to find facilitators who are certain of what they do know – and the vastness of what they don´t 😉
Go with the flow. And create. Let the floodwaves of your creation heal and nurture you – allowing you to share that with others.
As Ceres (12 Leo) is conjunct the North Node now, it becomes important to bring this creative, transformative energy to one of the most important relationships in your life: that of mother and child. Even if this is not physically or practically possible, remember that our relationship with motherhood reflects a larger, collective relationship with the Divine Mother herself. If that is where you can give and find nurture, then by all means, do so.
A word of caution is necessary: Not everything that occurs as an intuitive hunch or insight is immediately the best course of action. Take a moment to tune in and see if what you´re feeling is what it represents itself to be, or if it is an illusion of perception that feeds into old mental constructs and programming. No matter how nice, fluffy, all-encompassing, hip, trendy, New Agey, enlightened or ´spiritual´ it seems like.
Always stay discerning. In this line of work, it is unwise to take all that glitters as gold. Especially when everyone else seems to be doing the same.
One of the biggest misconceptions surrounding the larger shift into the Age of Aquarius is the emergence of a Unity Consciousness that is homogenous, whereas Aquarius requires the fullest development of individual consciousness – so that collective, divine, harmony ensues. It is not about numbing your thought processes (we tried that in the Piscean era) – but understanding them better.
And part of that is also knowing when our thoughts about others are merely projections of our own fears. That´s going to be coming up as well, especially with the Ceres-Moon opposition.
The Dragon´s Head / North Node reminds us that our greatest path of growth at this time is through the Lion (Leo). Be bold, be fearless, be raw and authentic. Express your big heart for what it truly is.
But the Dragon´s Tail / South Node asks us to celebrate the community which surrounds us – especially if it´s your virtual family, friends or members of an altruistic community.  Allow yourself to be supported by Tribe to express your unique gifts, but do not tame down your truth to receive that support.
If it feels like you´re being asked to drink the Kool-Aid – even if the box says ´Love and Light´ in glittering letters  …  I´d advise against it.  Groupthink – as a historical phenomenon – has ultimately led to unwise decisions ….. And you are better off not being a part of a group that does not value your individual perspective and contribution.
That being said, there is a fine line of balance to tow – as there always is with the Dragon´s Dual Challenges. FYI – there are two ways to calculate the Nodes. The Mean (Average) Node is at 10 degrees, whereas the True Node is at 9. Astrologers have different uses and takes on each, so it is wise to consider both.
Azurite-Malachite and Sodalite are the gemstones I´d recommend you to work with – these will help you open up to higher energies without getting lost in the excitement of it all. If needing a more tender approach and are in a raw place with respect to the Mother relationship … work with rose quartz, morganite, kunzite or petalite.
Essential oils that may be useful are geranium, ylang ylang, clary sage, frankincense and myrrh (read up dosage, contraindications and dilution for safe use).
Blessings,

Birthing a New Chapter of Reality: Waves of Change & The Increased Need for Self-Care …

Uranus’ exit from Aries and entry into Taurus (May 15, 2018) brings with it powerful waves of change in our lives, across the planet…and beyond. We are needing to push through obsolete structures of consciousness and the contracts that hold them to create a new, tangible, manifested reality.

We are part of this incredibly intense planetary birthing. It is woven into our bodies, bones, breath and states of consciousness. Deeply inhale ….. Exhale….. Push…

Repeat.

If you are suddenly experiencing chronic pain, fatigue, extreme symptoms – do not descend into the self-hate game. If people around you are acting out, take a minute to pause before pointing the finger of blame.

Focus on the little stuff. Eat healthy drink water and sleep soundly. This is the first wave of Uranus’ transition. We only see it settling comfortably into Taurus in early 2019.

Save your exasperation and focus on the messages your body gives you.

You will find strong echoes to what went on in November-December 2017 with Saturn’s transit out of Sagittarius and into Capricorn (and of course it’s conjunction to the Galactic Centre in late November).

I would say avoid getting drawn into conflicts surrounding philosophy and ideals right now. Act on those beliefs by first bringing yourself into complete alignment with them.

Focus on the essence of You, whatever that is. It exists independently of any external human reference point. Go back to the practices that put you in touch with this primordial self.

This is not about power, comfort, prestige or vanity. Nor is it an invitation to ignore your basic humanity and capacity for empathy.

Just do you. You are more likely to be of greater service by doing so, rather than pretending to be someone you are not.

Harsh truths come, but having a gentle hand on your shoulder is not a crime. Nor does it make you any less authentic. Remember that Uranus’ harnesses the power of groups.

Work with your (willing and able) support mechanisms and do the same for others if you can. If fatigued, suffering from burnout or chronic pain – just sleep. That is enough.

The Buildup to Uranus-in-Taurus: Change is afoot

eclairs-foudre-et-nuages-sombres-1456251010RB4Over the past few days, the skies have been flooded with intense astrological alignments – one after the other. : Sun trined Saturn, Scorpio Full Moon, Mars squared Eris, Sun squared North Node (conjunct Ceres) and South Node – and so on. All within the slower-moving (and farther reaching) influence of Chiron´s entry into Aries.

There´s just been a lot happening.

But truthfully – these are the smaller rumbles – the stepping-stones that build up to a far more powerful shift, namely: Uranus´ entry into Taurus on May 15, 2018.

Now there´ll be some back and forth on this as Mars, Venus, Chiron, Uranus (and other bodies) retrograde. The energy of Chiron in Aries and Uranus in Taurus will only settle down in February-March 2019.

We´ve all been preparing for this time. And it´s important to keep the larger astrological picture in mind.

Change is afoot. It´s best not to obsess over the minutiae as the more anxiety we contribute to the collective adds to the very pressure we´re anxious about.

It´s also why I haven´t been writing as much. Only when guided to do so.

Stick to the basics:

Practice self-care. Uranus at 29 Aries is not going to leave without a fight – or at the very least – not before imparting valuable lessons in self-awareness.

Pay attention.

Pursue your goals steadfastly (especially with Saturn and Mars in Capricorn). Keep at it day by day even if there´s a feeling of inertia (or stuckness) present. It´s especially important to keep going then, even if a little progress is all you can manage. Just be consistent.

Ungrounded individuals are likely to behave in erratic ways. They are more likely to feel and express these shifts in a volatile manner. Ensure that you have done nothing to add fuel to the fire, and remember to not take it personally.

Stability is key right now, especially as we sit at the threshold of change.

You can be sure that more is coming.

So do what you can, and let the planets do the rest. Things will feel different after May 15.

Blessings.

A New Chapter of Self-Healing: Chiron in Aries (2018-2026)

Chiron has just moved into Aries.

This marks the beginning of a new chapter of collective growth and experience.

It comes at the right time, sandwiched between the New Moon in Aries and tomorrow´s Sun-Uranus conjunction (trined the Galactic Center).

We´re getting a taste of what moving out of one turn of the wheel of karma feels like. There´s a sense of expansion and possibility in the air, despite rising intensity.

But it´s wise to remember that Chiron will retrograde back into Pisces – and finally settles into Aries in February 2019.

Whatever debris has´t been addressed will certainly come back to the fore when Chiron returns to Pisces (September 2018 – February 2019).

I´ve been keeping silent for a while as I wanted the last crest of the Chiron-in-Pisces energy to subside. Too many projection, pedestalization and empath-abuser-victim dynamics going on. Sometimes it´s better to wait certain things through.

But let´s get back to the Now. To Aries.

The big question is what do we do with the spark of new consciousness seeking to emerge from within each and every of us?

How do we best harness that spark so that it may shine alongside its celestial kin?

How do we – individually and collectively – create a beacon of hope, change and conscious (r)evolution?

These are the questions of our time and we will continue to seek out their answers – till the next Chapter begins when Chiron enters Taurus in 2026. (paraphrasing this point from my friend and fellow astrologer Greg George)

Remember that the focus of our healing needs to go to the innermost depths of our individuated consciousness. Only then can we truly – and in a healthy manner – understand what it means to be One with All.

Stay away from the games of hyper-intellectualization and abstraction and seek to return to the self in that vulnerable state of transition – the liminal space between birth and rebirth, light and darkness, consciousness and the lack thereof.

So pure, so young … and yet Infinite, Timeless … Eternal.

Go Home to your Innermost Being.

As that is where you will find your Medicine.

Blessings,

FULL MOON IN LIBRA: THE PAST COMES KNOCKING AS THE FUTURE CONTINUES TO UNFOLD – A MOMENT OF FLUX

NewarkJustice1

Mercury Retrograde´s prominent role during this Full Moon brings back the past in a way that influences our choices for the future.

I´ve noticed that themes, questions or events that occurred when Uranus was at 12-13 Aries (2013-2014) are coming back to the fore. These degrees correspond with Mercury´s movement in the build-up to this Full Moon.

I feel that we are also being asked to look at the karma arising from events that occured when Pluto transited 7-8 Capricorn (2011-2013).

So much has happened in the world, in our individual lives since then. I remember writing on these alignments and knowing that we are yet to see the ripening of the seeds we set as a collective.

Mars (7 Capricorn) and Saturn (8 Capricorn) square, whilst the Sun (10 Aries) and Mercury (13 Aries) oppose the Full Moon (10 Libra). Those with placements near 7-13 Cancer will experience this as a Grand Cardinal Cross. (Remember the major ones in 2012 and 2014?)

This Full Moon asks us to look at the questions that we, as individuals and a collective, have been wrangling with for the past 8 years.

Have we found a true, just, equitable way to find balance in our personal lives?

Our families?

Have we found a career or vocation that will ultimately lead to the creation of a worthwhile legacy ?

These are times in which the pause that Libra brings to the decision-making process is priceless. Think things through before committing to any key decisions at this time. Remember to consider the basic, practical needs of life and how best to secure them.

Venus at 0 Taurus reminds us to take whatever ideas, questions, energy, dilemmas or crises that occur right now and to look at them through pragmatic eyes. We´re asked to remember to stay rooted and grounded in these times of change.

You may want to postpone major decisions until April 30th, when Mercury will return to 13 Aries. Let the dust settle before coming to a conclusion. (Just after the Full Moon in Scorpio)

From a larger perspective, whatever we are working through is being influenced by forces and alignments that will take a while to find some kind of resolution.

Vesta (The Priestess) is at 29´33 Sagittarius, squaring Chiron (The Wounded Healer-Teacher) at 29´02 Pisces. Vesta will retrograde to this position again on June 15 – and once again on September 16. Her role in this drama encourages us to commit to paths of service (not servitude) that take us towards Truth.

Her retrograde enables us to consider and re-consider the teachers, paths, paradigms, countries, philosophies, astrological and other divinatory systems we use to help us make sense of the larger Cosmos we live in.

Chiron´s movement asks us to consider the way we allow in karmic patterns of bondage, servitude, codependency, martyrdom, parasitism, the savior-Messiah complex and false compassion. Some will choose to stay with this, others will see the opportunity to lovingly release their participation in such dynamics. Chiron returns to its exact current position on October 17 and – once again – on January 28, 2019.

In short, the Vesta-Chiron dynamic empowers us to cut away from spiritual contracts that drain and lock us into power, ego and energy struggles. That is – if we choose to work with it.

Other forces include (but are not limited to) Uranus´ (27 Aries) trine to the Galactic Center (27 Sagittarius), Neptune´s (14 Pisces) square to the Great Attractor (14 Sagittarius), Chiron´s upcoming opposition to the Super Galactic Center (1 Libra), Pluto´s upcoming square to Eris (23 Aries).

And so on. There´s a lot going on and intellectually deconstructing it all isn´t really going to help for the moment. There´s so much yet to come.

Make the best decisions you can based on the information you have, postpone key decisions for a month if possible.

Know that the Universe is up to lots in the background.

The full picture is yet to be seen. Even if you have to make a strong decision in the present moment, steer away from judgment and condemnation. Focus on getting your basic, practical needs secured.

Major seeds have been set in this decade.

They are beginning to unfold.

Blessings.
