Plans in May: Workshop in London & Messages on Sessions

587px-Grand_star-forming_region_R136_in_NGC_2070_(captured_by_the_Hubble_Space_Telescope)

This is certainly a powerful time. I´ve been getting more requests for sessions and I recognize that for some – this will be the perfect time to work through significant obstacles and blocks. For others – the vast majority-, it is best to wait.

I´ll follow my gut on it.

So, if I ask you to wait and book at the end of May – please do not take it personally. I´d rather have a session with you that goes beyond saying ´ just needs a little time, endure´.

Also, I will be away for the next few weeks on family business. Nothing super-bad, just holding space for a relative after a loved one´s passing. Oddly enough, back in the UK.It´s also coming up to my 2nd exact Saturn return.

It wasn´t a trip I was planning (resisted it at first as I was just planning to rest after all of April´s intensity….), but apparently my soul needs to be there at this time.

So … That´s what I´m doing…My flight leaves later today.

I have sent out all outstanding recordings for sessions that I am aware of. If you have not received your recording, please get in touch – check both skype and email first.

I will also be doing a workshop in London on the 14th of May. Donation-only. Will update when I have the details.

Blessings,

Bairavee Balasubramaniam   ❤

WHY SOMETIMES THE BEST THING TO DO IS NOTHING AT ALL: Suggestions for the Next Few Weeks

Dolphin_Mikurajima_Tokyo_Japan

Spiritual facilitation, be it through astrology, cards, reiki, etc. can be awesome. But it cannot, nor should it – give you the ´whole´ story.

The are so many multifaceted, mysterious journeys and layers in our return Home to Spirit – Source – Formless Consciousness.

And quite a lot of that is veiled.

And that is a good thing.

If we knew exactly where we were going, and how we got there, and what we would find – why even do it?

Mystery, curiosity – and uncertainty is what makes this journey rich, purposeful and meaningful. (In my book, at least)

Where astrology can help, especially when you´re in a phase which seems to be all about – surrender, let go, where is this going, i´m floating about, etc. –

is to help you with a sense of timing

is to identify some of the root causes or issues that need addressing

and, depending on facilitator,

is to shift your awareness so you are better prepared to face the veil of Maya when that time arrives

What you do then, what is revealed to you – is entirely between you and Spirit.

This is the message I´ve been seeing repeated over and over again in my sessions and re-inforces my sense of what´s coming ahead.

🙂 Sometimes a human guide / facilitator is what you need – sometimes just to give you a sense of time or to point you in a certain direction –

But there is such a thing as too much facilitation – guidance – direction – and external input.

In the same way too many cooks spoil the broth, too many voices of direction and guidance just end up confusing the spiritual seeker even more.

And that tends to overwhelm the more secretive, silent process of communion between Spirit and the Deeper Source.

How can Spirit fill your cup when the time comes when it is already full of (even the best) human interpretations and predictions?

Empty it out. And let Spirit answer the call.

We tend to want to know, to find answers and – Certainty – because of the way the human-monkey-mind operates. It wants knowledge to control the uncontrollable. And it wants to get to the top of the mountain, as soon as possible! With sparks and fireworks and epic music!

Which then makes the process of Surrender irrelevant.

You could say it also takes out the Beauty and the Mystery of the Journey in Search of Spirit. And the Sacred Silence that so often precedes such deep communion.

Think about the process as one of birthing or new creation – whether it´s a seed in the soil, or a new life in the womb, or a cake in the oven – it takes the time it will take.

So in some cases, you will just have to wait. And things will be better for the waiting. No matter the outcome.

If you´re looking for Spirit, that´s the way it tends to go. The moment you put conditions on that experience … it becomes a different sort of search.

It´s different a experience for each person, and each chart – but has a universal relevance owing to the South Node´s motion through Pisces in a time of multiple retrogrades.

This is why there will be no sessions offered in May, at least till the Retrograde ends.

I´d rather give you time to think, reflect and find your own answers and paths.

As really, there is such a thing as over-facilitation.

Knowing when to stop and let a person´s natural process be is just as important as having great guidance to give.

When you rush into things, sometimes you get activated too quickly. You end up having to take the route to the mountaintop that leaves you a little more bruised than you would be – if you had waited.

Not always the case for everyone, but for a vast majority.

And some people are more easily activated than others. If doing high energy work, make sure your facilitator takes this into account as well.

And check to see whatever practice you´re getting into is one that you can handle right now ! 🙂

It´s really, really not a race … Certainly not one that can be measured in linear time.

Learning to back away from over-activation is – a different form of self-love and self-nurture ….

My suggestions to you, especially over the next few weeks:

Find a tree you like – hug it and sit under it often. (Trees hug you back too … ya know 😉  )

Or find a space or place that takes you to that no-mind space.

Or just unplug and chill. Things will come in their own time.

Work with the lepidolite gemstone if facing high degrees of anxiety, worry, stress and fear.

You can hold this in your hand, or place it under a pillow, or in meditation, salt baths, etc. Remember to cleanse the stone regularly.

Regular salt soaks for the feet with essential oils (lavender is lovely) also help.

Get out of your head and do something. Have fun. The Sun´s in Taurus.

Feed your body with sensation and let yourselves play. Dance, sing, try out arts and crafts. Whatever floats your boat.

No one said you couldn´t 😉 As long you´re not trying to escape from yourself in the process 😀

In this particular case / energy signature…

Answers will come, especially when you are not in search of them. Give them the chance to come to you when it the time is right.

That´s part of the Beauty and Paradox of Pisces 🙂 and the journey it beckons us to take at this time.

Sometimes the best thing to do is nothing at all 😀

Keep the faith 🙂  ❤  ❤  ❤

Recommended Song: Crucify your Mind by Rodriguez
“Soon you know I’ll leave you
And I’ll never look behind
‘Cos I was born for the purpose
That crucifies your mind
So con, convince your mirror
As you’ve always done before
Giving substance to shadows
Giving substance ever more
And you assume you got something to offer
Secrets shiny and new
But how much of you is repetition” – http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/rodriguez/crucifyyourmind.html

A Quick Note on the Scorpio Full Moon

800px-Grjótagjá_caves_in_summer_2009_(2)
The Scorpio Full Moon went exact about 12 hours ago (2 Scorpio, 22 April 2016, 5.23 am UTC). There´s nothing that really jumps out at me – energywise – that we haven´t already been seeing the building up to over the past week. Much of the work we´re doing involves The Shadow – and that can be an incredibly powerful, sacred, loving, terrifying, humbling and all-round-indescribable experience.

Personally, and this may be different for you, I felt last week to be a lot more intense. Especially with Vesta, Mercury, Pluto Retrograde and Jupiter doing their thing. Whatever Scorpio´s energy is rendering visible to you at this time appears to be connected with messages that came through about seven days ago.

There´s one other factor that I feel compounds the intensity of the Scorpio Full Moon (again, a subjective take) – and that´s the buildup to the Mercury Retrograde (coming on the 28th of April). It may be because of the multiple retrogrades we´re in the middle of, or the energy of Scorpio and its famous intensity, or the fact Mercury is trined the North Node in Virgo – most probably all those factors.

Long story short – it´s a great time to go within and clarify your motivations, intentions and thoughts – especially as they relate to the deeper subconscious. And there´s a wide variety of ways, paths and disciplines you can use to take that journey.

This energy is fantastic to for delving into the depths of the psyche, in the effort to better understand the who, how and why of what we are.

This is also good in learning more about energetic healing pathways, the power of transformative ritual, the mechanics of shamanism – and topics of that ilk.

Also a fantastic time to take stock of how you relate to others at the energy level and if your exchanges are balanced, i.e. do you give as much as you take and vice versa?

Do your exchanges leave you feeling empowered or utterly debilitated (ditto for the people you´re exchanging energy with)?

Time to look in the mirror and take stock of what you see.

Gemstone suggestions :

  • Black Obsidian – detached vision, moving away from illusions
  • Lepidolite – stress, release of worry, anxiety, etc.
  • Amber – solar energy and protection

Essential Oil suggestions:

  • Frankincense or Neem – protection (different types of energy, but both absolutely effective)
  • Rose – self-love, protection, tenderness, holding space for vulnerability (use with the Rhodocrosite gemstone if seeking to do inner child work)

There´s plenty of other things you can work with as well, but here´s just a few suggestions to get you started.

Also – have a look back to Nov 11/12, 2015 to see what seeds you set during the Scorpio New Moon – now coming to fruition and culmination 🙂

It´ll take a few days for the energy to come back to balance – and then the Mercury Retrograde comes along. So .. more deep processing work on the cards.

Last but not least –

Quite a bit of fear – of the the deep conscious – of the potential shadows that lurk within is going to come up for a lot of you. That´s a perfectly sane, legitimate thing to be feeling right now.

But bear in mind that our fears (especially of finding our own authenticity, worth, strength, and power) may not even be warranted. That´s case specific – but the general message is not to take our fears at face value.

Examine further, and you might just find the gold hidden in the shadow 😉

Full Moon Blessings,

ASTROLOGY, HEALING AND MAPPING THE PSYCHODYNAMICS OF THE ENERGY-BODY

Indic_Manuscript_347,_side_a_Wellcome_L0024647

Astrological analysis can help you identify the psychological, spiritual, metaphysical and other factors that lead to the manifestation of certain states of mind and related physical conditions. Whilst not to be used as a replacement for medical/alternative therapies, it gives you a framework through which you can assess the state of the physical body and its link to the energy-body.

For instance, I often work with individuals who exhibit the features of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (a complex phenomenon which is built up of many conflating factors). When I study the chart, I am able to pinpoint specific experiences, individuals and types of trauma linked with the onset of fatigue. And it differs for each individual.

For some, fatigue is – just what it is. Exhaustion. Tiredness. Weariness. Medically linked with hypothyroidism and adrenal fatigue (with the related Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome). If you work yourself to death, at some point that body is just going to shut down and say: Buddy I´m done. Let me rest.

In others, what I see is the over-investment of their vital energy into the re-living of a certain traumatic experience and/or holding themselves in a ´brace´ position for fear that it may happen again. So rather than a lack of energy – it´s a case of redirecting it.

Another dynamic that sometimes comes up in my case studies is when a person needs to learn how to ground better into the earth and to draw up energy back into the body.

There will certainly be other dynamics as well. But this is what I´ve seen so far with my case studies.

Various energy medicine systems do this through their different traditions – the Indian subcontinent understands it through the flow of prana through the nadis – China calls it chi and the meridians. And I´m sure South America, Africa and Australia (and other cultures/civilizations) have their own ancient understandings of the same.

These are things I would like to learn and incorporate further in my own practice.

What I do with astrology is to trace or map out the psychodynamic pathways that are created between specific events, individuals, lifetimes that leads to a particular state of imbalance.

I let the chart, rather than the individual I am working with to help me identify this pathway and its own timeline of progression. To confirm what I´m seeing, I might ask specific questions like:

Did you have this experience with so-and-so in this way, at this time of your life?

Does such-and-such situation trigger such-and-such symptoms?

It is located in this such-and-such organ with such-and-such sensation or feeling?

And so on.

It really does get that specific.

And then I identify the chakra/s involved and provide practical tools to address some of the kinds of energetic imbalances identified.

My healing toolkit works more so with essential oils, gemstones, mantras and guided visualizations. For me (at present), the 7 chakra system is an excellent framework to interpret the energybody.

There are of course other conceptualizations that work just as well. But it´s a good place to start.

And for some – it´s not just the tools provided that help them – but the awareness that arises when they – logically and intuitively – see the way the dots connect up. And then the AHA! moment hits.

For some, that it is enough to trigger the release of pent of trauma, or the attachment to a certain experience of wounding that has gone on for years, and years – perhaps even lifetimes.

The face takes on a glow and you can see the instant, deep release and shifting. The work then becomes one of maintaining this state of receptivity and release.

For others, the experience is less dramatic, but still substantial. It is a baby step, but one which can become a powerful foundation towards developing a healther mind-body-spirit connection. Neither response is better or worse, as we each take different paths and timelines to healing.

It helps to know that there are alternative understandings out there as it puts your own choices in context.

And of course there will be certain charts in which karma, timing and the more hidden mysterious of incarnation simply refuse to reveal the process. In which case I work more so with symptom management.

Specifics, context and an understanding of process can be a deeply healing thing to have, especially when working through states of health described in vague or over-generalized terms.

Irritable bowel syndrome is another one … It covers so many things that you wonder what it actually is. And when you don´t understand it, and are just given things to mask or alleviate your symptoms – you´re not healing.

In my early 20s, whilst doing my PhD, I was diagnosed with Adrenal Fatigue (similar, but not exactly the same as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Terribly draining (and time consuming). Besides medical letters that said I was tired and drained, I didn´t really get any remedies from the medical system (was in the UK). So I had to turn to alternative sources, and did find relief.

The experience helped me understand how the act of mapping, and getting specific with the energy dynamics that underpin physical health and imbalance – in itself – provides a sense of liberation. And it gives you tools, perspective and a greater sense of confidence.

You realize, hey – I got this.
I can do SOMETHING rather than just feeling like a victim in my own body.

But to be fair, Western science and medicine continues to map out the unknown through its own paradigm. As its tools of understanding become more sophisticated, what Western science ends up saying (and empirically proving) is increasingly beginning to match up with what older traditions have been saying for thousands of years.

(Yay!)

I look forwards to deepening my own knowledge of these various paradigms and combining them with the work that I do as an astrologer and a priestess. It is interesting that this is coming up for me now as my mum, dad and my brother are all doing the same kind of work through their respective inclinations.

And I´m sure many others are as well 🙂 Go Virgo North Node, Scorpio Full Moon!

Much Love,

A Brief Note on Words and Energy

799px-Tanzania_-_Little_bird_(11122537064)

Words are vessels for our energy.

They are capable of inducing strong emotional responses based on your unique strengths and vulnerabilities.

Words can bait you to become further entrenched / hooked in / entangled in a particular dynamic.

And sometimes they can set you free.

We´re about to enter a phase where our modes of expression and communication – with the material beings/world around us – is going to be thoroughly re-examined. That´s of course the upcoming Mercury Retrograde in Taurus.

Mercury (communication) conjuncted Vesta (service) a few days ago, and both remain in a trine with Pluto (transformation) and the North Node (new directions). All in the Earth signs.

But distilling that info – what that means for us all now – is to:

Use the power of your voice to draw the line where it needs to be and articulate – with power – with grace – and integrity – just who you are and what you have come to do on this Earth Plane.

It´s not about your audience, or what response you get to it.

As attached as you may be to the message, or the words you use – be detached to the response you get.

As that has nothing to do with you, whatsoever.

It´s an act of self-representation. And what that means for you.

With that comes a new chapter in your journey of self-assertion, discernment and healing.

Sometimes Love smooths over the rough, jagged edges.

And at other times it says – I´ve tried my best – it´s the same dynamic over and over again – *waves goodbye* – and keeps on walking.

Given other dynamics in the sky, for many – I would see the ´walking away from crap´ theme probably the more dominant expression of this energy.
You are what you are.

Take it or leave it.

As far too many of us have compromised far too much.
Just be clear about your energy, and resist the temptation to get hostile or defensive if someone chooses to see you differently.

There is of course a space for healthy communication and deep sharing that allows transformation to happen.

Some of you will see those opportunities emerge as well, over the next few weeks.

But – remember – it takes to two tango.

QUESTIONS FOR THE STUDENT, QUESTIONS FOR THE TEACHER / FACILITATOR – AND WHAT DO THEY ALL REFLECT?

601px-HealBleedingWoman

Finding a teacher that is balanced and experienced in what you want to learn is important. But from the teacher/facilitator´s perspective, finding a student who has the capacity (i.e. energy-body) to handle what you have to say or do – is equally important.
It doesn´t matter what subject, skill, philosophy or perspective you´re a teacher or facilitator of. It can be astrology, tantra, kundalini work, shadow work, priest/essing – the same thing applies.
Now this applies more to to one-to-one cases or small group sessions. It saves both student and teacher a lot of time if both take a little time to suss out the energy-body of the other.

From the student´s perspective, the following questions apply:

– – Does this teacher have the knowledge I want?

Be specific in what you want to know and ask the teacher if they specialize in what you´re looking for. Someone who gets offended by the question is probably not someone you want to work with.

– – Is that what s/he is offering to teach or facilitate for me?

Again, specifics help.

– – What do I expect to learn or benefit from the experience?

Ditto. The clearer you are about this upfront, the better it will be for both student and teacher.

– – Is this teacher coming from the right place (Heart or Spirit Centered, etc.)?

That is a harder one to suss out. Take the time to learn a little more about your intended teacher/facilitator and raise questions in a respectful way.

– – Why does s/he do what they do?

A complex question. Some teachers work in the public eye, others in private – and all for motivations that resonate with they own soul´s karma, or needs of learning and unlearning.
That being said, if you feel that your teacher has no other interest in you beyond making you their piggy bank, source of ego-bolstering – or worse – some kind of sycophant – head in the opposite direction …. and keep on walking.
When you find teachers who want to draw you into their organization, their world (in which they sit in a hierarchy) – you face a more complex set of questions to navigate.
Ideally, (and I find this when I am drawn to others, and when others are drawn to me) – there is an instant ´click´, and you know that someone just does something because that is what they are. No other agendas. Try not to project any unto them either 🙂

– – Why am I drawn to this teacher, and not others?

The recommendation of a friend? Was the closest in the area? Why this person, in particular – and at this time?
– – Do I like their work?
– – Do I trust him/her to teach or facilitate with integrity and competence?

– – How do I honor the energy exchange and the teacher/facilitator´s boundaries?

For some it´s barter, for others it´s money, for some it´s nothing at all. As long as the teacher works with either from an inner code that resonates with you, go for it. I´ve seen some who work with cash without issue, and others who are deeply hung up on their own wounds and issues when working without exchange. You just cannot generalize.
I use a mixture and follow my own flow. I suspect others do the same. There are some people I could not (and would not) want to take anything from, and others I know a ´free´ session would not do much for. It´s about the honoring of energy – and that does change the terms of the dynamic when un-met.
Tune in, and see what you feel. Bear in mind though, that spiritual services and facilitations are grossly undervalued (still) owing to far deeper and older collective programs we´ve been told to imbibe. That is a different story for a different time.
That being said, when you´ve got ´that click´ with someone and have a deep sense of trust in what they do – trust them equally to value their work in an appropriate way. That´s what I do when I chose to work with someone.
Many facilitators can organize a payment plan for you if money becomes an issue. If in doubt, ask – and if it´s a fair request – a decent facilitator will help you work something out. And if it´s not, they´ll call you out on it 😉

Can I handle what this person has to say or teach?

Be honest with yourself. The better the facilitator, the better the mirror s/he becomes.
And allow the facilitator (if so inclined) to make the same assessment before starting their work with you.
( I´ve seen it a few times now, when the image a person has of themselves in their headspace does not match up with their energetic reality. And that makes for ´interesting´ sessions – part of the work, really – but it helps to know it before beginning.)

And from the teacher´s perspective, these questions:

– – Why do I do what I do?

Deep question, but one that is useful to return to from time to time. Always be cautious of your inner games of projection. It helps to sit with other facilitators whom you can bounce off from.

– – What do people think I do?

Not the same as the first. Be clear on who you are in cases where you may feel misinterpreted or projected upon (be in in a flattering or unflattering light).
This is why I have an article posted up called ´Why What I Do Isn’t For Everyone (a.k.a something to read before booking a session with me)´- and if anything that has really helped me represent my energy and the work I do with clarity.
It clears up a lot of this discussion from my end and gives those who want to work with me a chance to think about their expectations -and if the two match.

Is this student ready to hear what I have to say, or learn what I have to teach?

If you´re not willing to make that call, especially if you do very deep or heavy energetic-work – reconsider your profession.

I kid you not.

I´ve seen too many cases where over-eager teachers have activated stuff in their student, leading to years and years of energy burnout or imbalance – especially when it involves the kundalini, or deeper forms of shadow-working.

Certain teachings or traditions have prerequsities that both teacher or student must fulfill before beginning their explorations. In an age where a couple of days of a course can give you a certificate that says ´ Kundalini Yoga Instructor´ or ´ Akashic Healer´ — those requirements are not being met, en masse.
I know I´m going to be touching a nerve with this, but it´s needed.
Call me judgemental if you like, but no holds barred here.
I find that in the rush to become a teacher or facilitator, more and more individuals have the paperwork that says so – but without the skillset required.
And with it one of the most important lessons:

Sometimes the best teaching you can do is to simply say – no. I don´t think this is a fit for you at this time. Or no, I´m not the right person for you to work with.

There are of course teachers who lord that over their students due to their own insecurities – but that is a different kettle of fish. In that case, student – reconsider your teacher! (or .. run, run, fast!)

– – Why does the student seek this knowledge or experience?

Let´s say you teach hypnotism and have a student whom you know will use it for an unethical purpose. The ball is in your court. You make your choices with the knowledge that your wisdom may be misused. And the karma that comes with that. Another thing to consider.

– – Why have they come to me, specifically, at this time?

Was it a case of need, or long-standing interest in your work? Were you the closest / most easily accessible facilitator? Those questions play a role in gauging the depth of interest and investment your student will make in the energetic exchange between the two of you.
– – What expectations does this student have of me, and are they realistic?
– – Do I have the energy or other resources this student or session will require of me?

– – Am I the right person to fit their needs and level of development? If not, do I know others who might be?

It´s useful to have a network of buddy-facilitators you can direct people to if this is the case. 🙂
– – Is this student able or willing to honor fair terms of exchange and the nature of my work and energy? Are my terms, indeed, fair?
– – Do I have alternative methods of exchange/payment/barter, if appropriate?
– – Can I articulate my needs and boundaries in a way where I will not be exploited?
(Same goes for the student.)

Am I able to honor the energy and level of knowledge this student brings and to build upon it in a useful, balanced way?

That last question is a little tricky, particularly if your mode of working is more Kali-esque (i.e. creation through destruction, rebirth through the breaking down of the old). So, your understanding of ´balance´ would be expressed differently from a teacher who was gentler – not necessarily less powerful, just using a different modality.
Whatever your understanding of balance is and the ways you take to arrive at it – ask yourself if it is what your student needs, and if it something they can work with and benefit from. Let your student know the general dynamic of the process in advance.

REVELATIONS FROM THE UNDERWORLD: Vesta-conjunct-Mercury trine Pluto – inconjunct Saturn, The Scorpio Full Moon, Mars-Pluto-Mercury Retrograde

Where do I even begin. I woke up this morning at 4 a.m. after a dream that revealed the time of my death (checks out astrologically, nowhere soon, don´t worry) and very specific pieces of information (key dates and such) that would facilitate my journey ahead. It looks like Shadow-Working and Priestess-ing is certainly The Big Theme for me this time round. As is working with the energies of the Lion Goddess – and potentially – down the line – a deeper form of Buddhism (I take a syncretic approach to religion).

Given current astrology, I would not be surprised if that struck a chord with many other facilitators at this time.

In my dream, and it was one of those dreams where you know you´re not really dreaming – I had chosen to die for some reason and had jumped the queue (there was a queue, yes). I was administered with Serpent Venom (Lachesis), but it failed to work. Within the dream I saw my etheric body travel to other spaces, to deliver messages it needed to. I was in a state of euphoria and giddiness. Then I returned to my dream-body. I realized I had a job to do, decided it was time to leave the hospice, and very joyfully decided to live.

Then I woke up. In this reality (to be clear).

What amazed me is the specificity of the information I received in the dream. I was guided to key dates matching profound astrological shifts in my life and in the lives of those nearest to me. I took down some notes, and now I´m writing to you guys.

Be it through a prophetic dream, a message from the world around you, writing you see on the wall, a book you read – this is the time to pay attention to messages as they seek you out. Mercury (The Messenger) conjuncts Vesta (The Priestess) at 16´58 Taurus (The Earth-Plane, Sensuality, Relationships with the Material world). Most of these messages will be related to the way you Serve on this Material, Earthly Plane. (Chimed in well with the messages I received).

I say this connects with the archetype of the Underworld, and related themes of Death, Transformation, Re-birth and so on because Vesta/Mercury also trines Pluto (17 Capricorn), Lord of that Realm (as per later Greco-Roman mythology). Pluto rules Scorpio, which naturally opposes Taurus´ energy – that only reinforces the balance between the Upper and the Lower expressions of Earth-energy. Think of green hills and pastures, mountains and meadows, trees, rivers and so on vis a vis the nurturing depths of a cave, the darkness of the Void beneath the Earth´s Surface, the fiery-red core.

So in other words, it may be a link between priestess-messaging-death/rebirth – be in in the physical or the archetypal way, or both. Or, considering Pluto´s position in Capricorn, a glimpse as to the legacy you are called to leave behind by way of the Service you perform in the tangible Earth-realm.

That question of legacy – what you are called into being to leave behind for future generations to inherit – is also reinforced by Vesta/Mercury´s inconjunct with Saturn Retrograde (15 Sagittarius). It means that the message we receive now tells us about the belief systems we need to either detach from, or consolidate our belief in. It tells us about the roads we need to take to get to our desired destination and need to cut away from things that ultimately lead us elsewhere.

For those of you with bodies near 15-17 Libra and/or Cancer will experience this as a powerful Yod (Finger of Fate). That is a current of karmic acceleration, bringing you to a pivotal decision point – where you choose to remain in one cycle, or to move to another. In my case, For me that meant that my South Node completed the Yod. It makes sense – a profound release or ´letting go´ (and a letting go of wanting to let go, to get meta about it).

There´s another reason why the Underworld is involved so strongly in this alignment. Multiple Retrogrades. Here´s a brief timeline (and other alignments as well, for context):

Mercury conjuncts Vesta – 16´58 Taurus at 22:10, UTC, 16 April 2016.

Mars Retrograde Begins: 8´54 Sagittarius at 12:13 pm, UTC, 17 April 2016

Vesta trines Pluto Retrograde – 19´29 Taurus at 2:29 am, UTC, 18 April 2016

Pluto Retrograde Begins: 17´29 Capricorn at 7:25 am, UTC, 18 April 2016

SUN SHIFTS INTO TAURUS, LEAVES ARIES: 15:29 pm, UTC, 19 April 2016.

FULL MOON IN SCORPIO: 2´30 Scorpio at 5:23 am, UTC, 22 April 2016

Mercury Retrograde Begins: 23´36 Taurus 17:19 pm, UTC, 28 April 2016

In a nutshell, there´s plenty of messages coming from the Shadow / The Darkness (in its Sacred, and less Happy forms) / The Underworld. You see this the Pluto-Vesta/Mercury trine, the Pluto Retrograde (5 hours later) and the Full Moon in Scorpio.

There´s also a strong reminder that – no matter how deep you get – the work you do is still meant to be drawn back to the Surface, onto this more visible manifestation of physical reality and the lives we lead within it. That comes from Vesta, Mercury and the Sun in Taurus´energies (especially after 22 April). Bear in mind that Mercury retrogrades in Taurus on the 28th of April, until May 21/22 (depending on where you are in the world). Mercury finally leaves Taurus on June 12/13.

Between now to mid-June – it is an excellent time to ponder the messages of service that come to you now. I would suggest against entering any new business / energetic mergers / intimate relationships or partnerships at this time – and to take the time to review, integrate and reformulate your own strategies. It´s also a great time to take stock of your energetic and material reserves and to thinking about ways you can ´give back´, be it through charity, investment in environmental conservation, you name it.

The Mars and Pluto Retrogrades are very different kettles of fish. And I´ll cover them in a different article. Essentially a time to slow down, pay attention to the health of the body (especially with regards to movement, the sciatic nerve, hips, thighs and so on – from – http://www.homeoint.org/morrell/astrology/medical.htm – just as a general guide). Essentially a time to look before you leap (check to see if there´s a cliff before taking the plunge into something new).

The Pluto Retrograde essentially asks us to take the time out to sit with the deeper substance of the Self. During the Dark Goddess workshop I held, many new techniques of doing so emerged spontaneously through the space held. I look forwards to being able to share them with you 🙂 As a general introduction – turn off all the lights, snuggle up with your favourite black and a nice grounding crystal (trying getting natural smoky quartz – some of it looks so dark, it looks black!) and observe.

More on all that when it´s time to write about them. I can see why I was told to take a timeout from sessions till the 21st 🙂

Keep dreaming, keep listening and stay tuned for the messages that come!

Blessings, hugs and Love!
